Canine Crunchy Apple Treats recipe

Canine crunchy apple treats are a good alternative. If you have decided that you want to do something nice for your dog, then why not think about making a great recipe for them like canine crunchy apple treats?

While it is always a good idea to try something different when it comes to your dog, many people do not attempt it as they fear that they will be wasting their time.

Dogs are anything but picky for the most part, so when you offer them something new and tasty they usually respond. This is where the recipe for these treats becomes so popular, as it allows the dog the opportunity for something they will enjoy and it is good for them too.

It will take very little to make these tasty snacks for your dog, and all it requires is the following:

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1 beaten egg
• 4 cups of whole wheat flour
• 4 tablespoons of honey
• 2 ¾ cups of water
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup of dried apple chips ( other dried fruits can be added or substituted)

Kitchen Simplicity

Method:

1. One of the first things that you are going to need to do when you are going to make canine crunchy apple treats, is preheat the oven to 180C (350F) or Gas Mark 4.

2. You will want to lightly grease cup cake or muffin trays, and then set them aside.

3. Put the applesauce into a large bowl.

4. Add the beaten egg.

5. Add the honey.

6. Add the water.

7. Add the vanilla extract.

8. Mix the wet ingredients together well.

9. Set aside.

10. Put the flour into another bowl.

11. Add the baking powder.

12. Add the apple chips.

13. Mix the dry ingredients together well.

(When you are dealing with wet ingredients and dry ingredients that will be combined, you are going to want to mix the wet ingredients separate first. This will allow you to make sure that everything is mixed well, before you complicate matters with the dry goods.)

14. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients miture.

15. Mix them all together well until it is not too lumpy.

16. Spoon the mixture into the greased muffin trays.

17. Place the trays in the preheated oven at 180C (350F) or Gas Mark 4.

18. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes) approximately.

19. Check on them periodically.

20. When the treats are done, you should be able to stick a toothpick in them, and not see any wet ingredients attached to the toothpick when it is pulled out.

21. Remove them from the oven.

22. Place the muffins onto a plate.

23. Let them cool.

24. Once cooled they can be offered to your dog.
