Crunchy Pork Puppy Cookies
Make the Best Treats for Your Dog

Crunchy Pork Puppy Cookies are a wonderful, healthy, well balanced snack for your dog. These are great because they have the right amount of all the nutritional ingredients that you dog needs. These tasty treats are fun and easy to make. You can even break them up to be used as dry food.

Mix these with soft homemade dog food or serve alone. Your dog deserves to be fed the best and this dog food recipe offers your pup everything he or she needs each day to stay fit and healthy. Since this cookie recipe is crunchy, it also promotes strong, healthy teeth as well.

Ingredients:

To make your Crunchy Pork Puppy Cookies you will need the following ingredients:

• One cup ground pork
• One egg
• One beef bouillon cube
• One cup grated carrots
• Two and a half cups whole wheat flour
• Half teaspoon of salt
• Half cup dry milk powder
• Six tablespoons of shortening
• Half cup cold water

Method:

Make sure that you scale the recipe to fit your dog’s size and needs. You can also make more so you can freeze portions for use later. To make your Crunchy Pork Puppy Cookies, you will need a frying pan, medium bowl, cookie baking sheets, and wire cookie racks.

Do not forget to spray your cookie baking sheets with a non-stick spray so you can get the treats off easily. Follow these cooking directions to make your treats.

1. Preheat over at 180C (350F) or Gas Mark 4

2. Cook ground pork in frying pan

3. Set pan aside to cool

4. Add whole wheat flower, salt, milk powder, and crumbled beef bouillon cube into medium bowl

5. To dry mix, add cooked ground pork, shortening, egg, and carrots

6. Mix together thoroughly

7. Add water to mixture to form a stiff ball of dough

8. Flour counter top

9. Roll dough out on floured counter top to one forth inch thickness

10. Cut into desired shapes

11. Reroll and cut until no dough is left

12. Place cookies 2 inches apart on greased cookie baking sheets

13. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bottom of treats are browned

14. Cool cookies for 10 minutes on cookie baking sheet, remove and allow to cool thoroughly on cookie racks

Once your Crunchy Pork Puppy Cookies are cooled, you can give them to your dog. Store the cookies in an air tight container in the refrigerator for no more than four days. If you have more than four days worth, put in a freezer safe container or bag and store in four day batches for up to six months. To thaw, simply remove from the freezer and allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
