The Minty Mix Natural Dog Food
for Tender Tummies

Minty Mix is a fantastic natural dog food recipe that was originally designed for pups with upset tummies or that needed to be bound up from illness or eating something bad. This recipe can be altered for everyday use as well. With the right amount of each ingredient, this meal can be served alone or with dry store bought dog food to enhance your pup’s diet.

This meal will be able to be used for large breed dogs and stored properly will last days. For smaller dogs, simply down size the recipe or you can store serving sizes frozen for up to six months.

Ingredients:

You will need the following ingredients:

• 5 tbsp Dried mint
• 5 cups Brown or white rice (uncooked)
• 2 lbs Lean hamburger
• 10 cups Water
• 16oz Assorted fresh vegetables (or 1 frozen package) - NO ONIONS

Method:

When you are preparing the Minty Mix for your pet, you will want to exclude the vegetables if his or her tummy is upset. The burger mix will help to bind him or her up and help calm the queasiness. When making this delicious dinner creation for a healthy pup, you will want to add the vegetables in as directed.

1. Add 10 cups of water into large pot

2. Add rice to water and boil

3. Add raw burger to rice and water

4. Add mint to mix and stir

5. Bring mix back to a boil

6. Add vegetables (if dog is healthy)

7. Once at a boil, reduce heat to low

8. Cook until water is absorbed

9. Cool and sever or store

Once your Minty Mix is done cooking and cooling, you can then serve it up to your pup. It can be mixed with dry dog food or served on its own. If you have enough for four or less days, the leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator. Simply put the proper serving for your dog in an air tight container or storage bag.

When you have made more than four days worth of Minty Mix, you will want to freeze some of it. This will keep it from spoiling after four days. Either use freezer storage containers or bags to make sure to keep it from getting freezer burned. If you use bags you can save space, as they can be flattened for stacking.

When you are ready to thaw your Minty Mix you can either leave it out for a few hours, or you can allow thawing over night in the refrigerator. Once it is thawed, simply warm to serve.
