The Crunchy Delight of Nutty Buddy Cookies

Ingredients:

When making Nutty Buddy Cookies for your puppy, you will want to be sure to but the best ingredients. This means fat free when possible. Dogs do not need a lot of extra fat, and should not have any more fat than you in his or her diet. You will need the following when making your cookies.

• One and a half cups of water
• One half cup of vegetable or canola oil
• Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
• Two eggs (include one eggs shell)
• Three tablespoons of creamy fat free peanut butter
• Two cups of flour
• Half a cup of corn meal
• Half cup uncooked oatmeal

Method:

To make Nutty Buddy Cookies you will need to have a blender or food processor to make things easy. You will also want a whisk, a large mixing bowl, a knife or cookie cutters, and a baking sheet. You will also want a no-fat cooking spray so that you can spray the baking sheet to keep the cookies from sticking. You can also make larger batches of cookies by adding to the amount of ingredients. Follow the instructions below to make your puppy a happy dog.

1. Preheat oven to 200C (400F) or Gas Mark 6

2. Add water, oil, vanilla, both eggs, one egg shell, and peanut butter into processor or blender

3. Blend or process the mix until liquid

4. Add flour, corn meal, and oatmeal to bowl

5. Whisk dry ingredients

6. Add blended wet ingredients into bowl

7. Whisk to mix well

8. Knead into dough ball

9. Flour surface

10. Roll dough out into ½ inch thickness

11. Cut into fun shapes

12. Place on sprayed cookie sheet

13. Bake for 20 minutes

14. Turn off heat

15. Allow cookies to sit in oven several hours

16. Store at room temperature for 1-2 weeks to dry and harden

When you are making your Nutty Buddy Cookies you will want to remember to make a large enough batch to rotate until you can dry out the next batch. These will keep well in a paper bag or any container in a cool, dry place.
